Master's programs in Civil Engineering

The BCEE Department offers two 45-credit programs leading to:

• the Master of Applied Science degree (M.A.Sc.): This program is for research oriented students.
• or the Master of Engineering degree (M.Eng.): This program is course-work based.

Students can specialize in one of the following major areas:

1. Environmental Engineering & Water Resources
2. Geotechnical Engineering
3. Structural Engineering
4. Transportation

Applicants lacking the appropriate engineering background will be required to enroll in a qualifying program of undergraduate courses. These courses are in addition to the regular 45-credit Masters program.
